Our Dallas facility serves as both a friendly service center and our advanced production lab.  Inside, our team of dedicated professionals continues to serve our customers with quality products and superior customer service.

The Dallas Service Center is a excellent resource for current and prospective customers to stop by and discover what Pounds Labs can do for their business.  If it’s digital photography, we’ve got you covered.  If you need traditional solutions, it’s our tradition.

This facility also typically hosts education workshops that help you sharpen your digital photography skills or round off your marketing program.  Our workshops are always free and are generally held every month.  For more information on and schedules of our workshops, be sure to visit the Education section of our Web site.

Familiar Voice/Familiar Face

With nearly 50 years of photography experience and about 10 years with Pounds, Jim Enochs is the familiar face and voice at the Dallas Service Center.

Jim began his photography career in 1956 when he setup his first darkroom and received his first camera, a 4x5 speed graphic.  In 1959, he shot his first wedding and continued to do so for 30 years.  Jim spent three years in college before enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1967 where he was in charge of the audio-visual department at Sandia Base, New Mexico doing portraits, commercial and industrial type photography for three years.

When Jim returned home to Michigan, he landed a managerial job working in a store’s camera department selling professional photographic equipment.  In 1971, Jim started a new job as a production manager with a small pro lab servicing about 75 photographers in Michigan.  He later bought the small lab and continued its operations until 1984 when Jim decided to move his family to Texas and start working for Meisel Photographic Lab as a lead of the custom printing department.  In 1988 he was invited to represent the company at the lab’s front counter.  In 1997, Meisel’s portrait division was purchased by Pounds Photographic Labs and Jim was transferred to the Pounds building where he now represents the Dallas Service Center.

"I have thoroughly enjoyed helping our customers with all their photographic and digital questions,” Jim says.  The digital revolution has drastically changed our industry.  Because of the changes, Jim encourages all photographers to join their local, state and national photography associations to help aid them in their digital transition.

Jim is a big part of our personal training program at the Dallas Service Center.  He will assist you in taking full advantage of all the workflow solutions offered by Pounds as well as answering any questions you may have regarding the digital and traditional services provided by our lab.  Computers and digital imaging are changing our industry on a daily basis, and our goal is to make sure that new technology becomes a tool you can use to support a successful business.
